Write a paragraph of description (no dialogue or action) of a common animal, but do it from the point of view of an alien creature observing the animal. You'll have to think of what that alien is used to seeing - for example, if the alien is reptilian and comes from a world with animals that mostly have scales, then they probably won't have a word for fur or hair and would have to come up with a way to express the fuzzy stuff all over the cat.
