Rain check again...
...but things are looking up. Last week, one of the two managers on my project (we're supposed to have three) was on vacation, leaving me and the other manager to take care of things in his absence. I don't mind that he took a vacation - in fact, he should take more; this was like his first in the two years I've known him - but man, were we shorthanded while more work was piled on top of us. But, not only is he back this week, but we finally hired a manager to take that third spot and he started today as well! So hopefully life will get back to normal and I can catch up with the comm and find the energy within to be creative. Though probably not for this next challenge. I'm hoping Friday. :)

I just don't have this kind of energy. This is my second week in this position, overseeing parts of three different projects, two of which are in deadline mode, and the other of which had a major fail today. On top of all that, tomorrow my boss and the boss of one of the deadline projects will be in town and I'll be meeting both of them for the first time face-to-face.
I'll get the challenge up, but yeah, no writing for a bit for me.

So sorry for being totally incommunicado. I've moved into a new position at work and it's just been a massive drain getting up to speed. I haven't had the time to think about being creative, much less actually be creative. I'm hoping this weekend will be a good recharge.

Sorry to do this (I actually do have a fill in mind for this Challenge, that I intend to do) but my brain apparently is having none of that today.
But! Here *is * something at least- been trying to get back into Sapphire and Steel, so here is a Character Sketch/Bio for an OC!

Element- Neon (Ne)
Sex- F
FC- (later)
Basics- Neon is an element not mentioned in the series. Neon is a noble gas, colorless and odorless but exhibits a red-orange glow when placed in an electric field. Its uses include things like signs (producing an unmistakable bright red-orange light), vacuum tubes, and TV tubes.
Abilities- Like other operatives, Neon has telepathic abilities and can teleport, She also can create a small amount of light.

Sorry! I totally forgot! My husband and I are deep in the MMO we play, as they just released their new expansion. And then when I got into bed last night, I told myself I'd work on it at at lunch... and I've been in meetings since 8 until now (a little past 1), swallowing my sandwich before jumping into the next meeting. :/ I'll get on this tonight.

I'm taking a rain check on challenge 9, as I've spent the last couple of days editing a WIP to try to get it posted this weekend. (I had no idea it had bloated to 15k words!) I'll probably work on challenge 9 and 10 after I get that done, which will hopefully be tonight.
