I didn't get much done this time. This one's not bowling.
Donna stepped out of the TARDIS wearing the faux-furred cloak she’d last had to use on the snowbound planet where she and the Doctor had freed an entire squid-headed species from ritual amputation and enslavement. It honestly wasn’t quite cold enough for it here today, wherever they were, but she’d found the thing hidden in the back racks at Henrik’s marked at 75% off and managed to snag it a moment before Nerys made a grab for it, so she took every opportunity she could to show it off. Her boots were less fashionable and more utilitarian, as she predicted quite a bit of hiking through muddy cow pastures. It hadn’t taken many trips in the TARDIS for her to learn that the Doctor’s optimism that visits to new places would be short was largely misplaced.
She noticed something was wrong the moment her boot squelched in the mud. Rather than encountering plaintive bovine lowing all around her, metallic clanking assailed her ears from behind. Spinning in place, she yanked the TARDIS door closed and felt the lock catch just as two men in full armor came around the corner.
