Fill-Challenge 20 (DW/BF)
"And you're sure where we're going is safe?" asked Nyssa.
"I'll take anything over what just happened in Amsterdam" said Tegan, " As long as there's no Master or Cybermen or anything."
The Doctor pressed a few buttons on the console. "Quite sure. The planet Retila is absolutely-"
The Time Lord's expression suddenly got far-off, as though he had been distracted.
"Doctor, are you all right?" asked the Trakenite.
"I-I'm [Milton} , Nyssa" he answered, still trying to input co-ordinates "[The chemicals and supernova] -oh."
Tegan gave Nyssa a confused look. "What's he going on about?"
"Oh dear, " replied Nyssa sadly "I think something may be [ nocturnal] with the [ green groves and cave]."
"Now you're doing it!" Tegan exclaimed "Am I going to be talking gibberish soon? Like some kind of...space virus?"
"It's not [ protozoa], Tegan" , the Doctor tried to say "Nysxa was saying there's [electrical current in waveforms]! "
"Rabbits" muttered the Australian. then she addressed the TARDIS. "Look, I've never done this before, but those two say you can hear me. Is there some kind of clue you can give to what's wrong with them? "
The console gave several, what could be described as comforting, beeps before the screen changed. In place of co-ordinates,there was text reading TARDIS TRANSLATION CIRCUIT ERROR and alphabets in various languages.
Tegan gave a silent thank-you to the ship and pulled her traveling companions over to see the screen. "Is this what you two meant?"
The Time Lord and Trakenite nodded.
"Well can you fix it? Or at least enough to where I can guess what you're saying?"
(Notes- There's really no meaning to the bracket text, other than trying to do something like Google Translate. :) Since there's not an official way to write out Gallifreyan or the Trakenite language.

The formatting issue... Well, it depends on what effect you're trying to accomplish. Is what Tegan's hearing actually Gallifreyan, or is what she's hearing mistranslated? If it's actual Gallifreyan, that's really difficult to convey, and I'll have to think about it. If it's mistransalated, so that instead of hearing "sonic screwdriver" she's hearing "glittery whale", then I'd use those words but italicized. Or not italicized - it might be even funnier for the words to look and read as plain English but be total gibberish.
Imagine a passage where the Doctor is trying to tell Tegan to push that button there, and it comes out as "Jello, fragment that elephant. The elephant! Diagram where I'm escalating!"
