Challenge #85

Write a couple of paragraphs of one character trying to describe their home to a second character who comes from a wildly different place. You can interpret this however you want: describing a single-family house to someone from a subterranean race that lives entirely communally; describing living on land to an aquatic alien; describing the Elemental Plane of Fire to a regular human. Be sure to consider the speaker's personality and desires and express them in what they say: are they likely to describe it in purely technical terms to make sure the listener gets an accurate picture, or are they so emotional that what they say is too general and highly exaggerated, or something else?
