Anyone ever heard of the Hero's Journey ? ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero%27s_journey )

Well for this challenge, let's look at the first part- Call to Action!!

Write a scene where your character(s) is tasked with an important job (could be something mundane or something like finding the Key to Time). Do they accept or Refuse the call? And is it a big deal to decide?
