Red like the sun shining through smoke-hazed sky.
Red like the great drops of blood shed in years gone by.

Read of the tales of loss and destruction.
Ash and flame consuming every obstruction.
Read of the wars and sung of conquest.
Soldiers and peasants both to a final, violent rest.
