Nyssa waits for the results of the recent blood test. The virus is spreading quicker by the day across the wards, and it seems like more and more patients are dying by the day. Another positive. She tries again to administer an antiviral she's been developing but it can only help to slow the disease. Her interns keep giving her concerned looks, suggesting she just give up or at least get some rest- she's been up all night again.
"No, please. I won't give up. There has to be something I can do. " Nyssa repeats, half to herself and half to the intern.
More test results are in. An alarm on one of the wards is sounding- they've lost another one. It's getting harder and harder to keep going when it feels like all you're doing is watching the inevitable happen. But she's determined. She's going to find a cure.

WIP Weekend!!! For today’s challenge, write at least three paragraphs for one of your own projects. Do a bit more in a work-in-progress… Write something concrete for an idea that so far has only been rattling around in your brain… Take one of the fills you’ve done for this comm and write the next scene in the story….You can even go back to something you’ve finished and rework/rewrite/reimagine it… Or, if you prefer, revise and edit a few paragraphs of a WIP to improve style, language, character, plot, etc.
Yes, you have to post the snippet that you do, so don’t work on something that you want to keep secret. :) Or, if you completed and posted your work, post the link!
