(Human Nature...this kind of got long)
They were running again. With a blast of sparks and energy close on their tail, the Doctor and Martha frantically raced into the TARDIS.
"Get down!" the Doctor exclaimed, rapidly slamming the door.
Still a bit frantic, Martha did just that.
"Did they see you?" the Doctor asked urgently.
"I don't know" Martha replied, unsure. It had felt like they'd been running from these things for days now.
"But did they see you?" the Doctor asked again, his tone more grave this time.
"I don't know, I was too busy running!"
"Martha, it's important" the Doctor started. He was halfway to the console already, probably deciding their next destination. "Did they see your face?"
Martha barely had a second to reason. "No they couldn't have." she said at last.
The Doctor started pressing buttons and switches on the console. "Off we go!" he proclaimed as they set off. But his expression quickly turned to frustration. "They're following us!" He said, letting out a rather exasperated grunt.
Now Martha was confused. "How can they do that? You've got a time machine." These things couldn't chase them into a different time...could they?
"Stolen technology" the Doctor explained, the mechanisms in his brain already turning in thought. This only meant they were in more trouble than before. "They've got a Time Agent's vortex manipulator . They can follow us wherever we go-right across the universe. They're never going to stop. Unless..." A thought came to the Doctor. It was something he'd always assumed would be a last resort, something he'd done once before and never expected to repeat. "I'll have to do it." He said finally, then turned to his companion. "Martha, you trust me , don't you?"
"Of course I do." She told him, wondering where this was going. Was he going to drop her off home? Or have her do something lethal to him? Knowing the Doctor by now, there were always possibilities. But she did trust him.
"Because it all depends on you."
Challenge #138

Hi! I'm so sorry that I've missed posting the last few challenges. Things have been... let's just say stressful and leave it at that, but anyway, I haven't had much energy to do much of anything and things have just fallen by the wayside.
So, let's pick this back up again. This challenge will runs through Friday, when the next one will be posted.
Today's challenge is to novelize a scene. Take a show you know really well and write a few paragraphs of a scene as if you were writing the novelization. These are established characters in the movie/episode, so you don't need to introduce them at all; just get right into it.
