shivverDescription challenge! Write a couple of paragraphs describing someone moving down a road or sidewalk approximately a half a mile away: close enough that the narrator can see what they're doing and generally what they're wearing, but far away enough that the narrator cannot see the expression on the person's face. The person is not in a vehicle, but moving under their own power - they can be walking or running, or even crawling if you like.
The aim of this challenge is to convey to the reader the emotional state of the person entirely through the description. Don't use adverbs - the narrator isn't close enough to see expressions, so you can't say "happily" or "excitedly".
An example of this: Take a look at the episode "The Lodger", specifically at the people walking out in front of the house who get called in by the cries for help. You can tell that they're desperate and wanting to leave because they're walking with suitcases and they're slumping along. You don't need to see their faces or hear their dialogue to know this.
