shivverYour challenge today is dialogue only. Select a character and practice writing dialogue in that person's voice. For each of the following things, write a sentence or two of that character doing them:
Remember, the point is to accurately portray that character's style of speaking. Do they speak in short phrases with simple words, or long complex sentences, sometimes with obscure words? Do they like clever turns of phrases? Do they like them so much they forget what they're talking about halfway through? Do they interrupt themselves? Do they have favorite words (like Bill and Ted with "Dude!")?
- Introducing someone to someone else
- Describing the visual appearance of an object so that the other person can try to find it
- Ordering someone to do something
