(Rani and Clyde, future fic kind of )
The mid- afternoon traffic was already out in full force as Mr. and Mrs. Chandra drove down Bannerman road. Pulling into the driveway at number 13, the couple exchanged a few words at the last minute.
"You sure you want to do this?" Clyde asked.
Rani nodded. "It's been almost fifteen years. It has to still be in there."
"You really are a journalist," Clyde said, hugging her. "Can't stop being curious.
With one final hug, Rani opened the car door and made her way into the house. There was no doubt that time had obviously passed, based on the levels of dust and spiderwebs now covering everything. She smiled when she saw on one wall some framed photos of herself, Clyde, Sky, and Sarah Jane at Luke's graduation party. That had felt like ages ago. But she had to know if it was still here...
Climbing up to the attic, Rani couldn't help but notice the state of it all.: it looked like a junk room. Various alien artifacts were sealed up in boxes and there was a noticeable layer of grime on everything. It was as if this room had just been...forgotten. Rani figured it may be a long shot, but just to check, she said those five words she'd heard so may times before and turned to the wall.
"Mr. Smith, I need you."
