I seem to be off by a day every time. So, let's make that a challenge.
Write a scene in which one character is late for something - meeting people, doing something they promised to do, etc. The catch here is, make that character behave objectionably in some way. The idea here is to get out of your comfort zone and write a character that isn't nice, good, and sociable, at least for these few minutes.
Some ideas of how to make the character unlikeable or uncomfortable in this scene:
* They try to blame the people they're meeting for it (like saying it was their fault for arranging the time during rush hour).
* They are overly apologetic, and continue to apologize and ask how they can make it up after the others have said it's okay.
* The people they're meeting (maybe it's an interview or it's their boss) points out that being late is unacceptable and they refuse to admit that they were late at all.
