Write a couple of paragraphs about your character (or characters) meeting someone else for the first time. The catch is that this meeting is personally important to them, so they want to make a good impression and are afraid they'll be found wanting. In other words, not just meeting a celebrity or royalty, or talking to the taxi driver - this is someone they're expecting to establish a relationship with. For example, your character meeting their girlfiend's mother, or meeting their new boss or coworkers; or your character meeting a client for the first time, whether your character is a physician or a therapist or a real estate agent.

The POV bias should be towards your character, so remember that you shouldn't communicate the other party's thoughts to the reader. Their reactions should be apparent through their dialogue, actions, and expressions.
