(This...wasn't an easy thing.  I'm aware Nyssa isn't minor. But I thought about her fears a little. In an audio, it's implied/ shown that her fear is being unable to cure a disease.  So wanted to think about that)

Nyssa waits for the results of the recent blood test.   The virus is spreading quicker by the day across the wards, and it seems like more and more patients are dying by the day.   Another positive.  She tries again to administer an antiviral she's been developing but it can only help to slow the disease.  Her interns keep giving her concerned looks, suggesting she just give up or at least get some rest- she's been up all night again.

"No, please.  I won't give up.  There has to be something I can do. " Nyssa repeats, half to herself and half to the intern.

More test results are in.  An alarm on one of the wards is sounding- they've lost another one. It's getting harder and harder to keep going when it feels like all you're doing is watching the inevitable happen.  But she's determined.  She's going to find a cure.

I did this last night, and the author's notes say why. Sorry for the short explanation, but I'm sure you understand.

Tonight was D&D night. Our party of six player characters has a seventh character, an NPC (non-player character) named Isaac that we picked up a while back. Isaac is basically useless. Our party cleric is trying to train him to be useful, but for the most part, we forget he's even there. We were exploring a cave system and got attacked by some giant bugs, and Isaac ran off to huddle against the wall in fear. Our poor dungeon master has to keep saying things like this to remind us that yes, we have this guy traveling with us.

Write a couple of paragraphs about a character being very afraid. The thing is, like Isaac, this character is a minor character and is certainly not the point-of-view character in your scene, so you can't say what he's directly thinking. Convey what he's feeling in some other way: describe his actions, have him say things (though they'll probably be limited to things like "AHHHH!!"), or whatever else you can think of other than describing what he's thinking.
