118 words today, but nothing I can really post here. I went through a section of my orig fic and fleshed out descriptions and things here and there. Coincidentally, it actually filled the challenge: it was the chapter where Kit's mother tells her the real story about her childhood and her father.

(Well this might be the first thing I've posted in a month. And it's a dw100 drabble!) Prompt is "fluff" I do plan to fix this since I'm pretty sure there's at least one mistake)

Charley leaned back , staring at the sky as the sun began to set; forming a myriad of soft pastel pinks and greens.
"Well, Charley, what do you think?" the Doctor asked, huddling closer under the blanket .
"Goodness!" Charley exclaimed. "It's beautiful. Thank you, Doctor."
As the sun descended further, Charley began to feel a slight chill in the air. "Though it's a bit cold" she commented.
Smiling, the Doctor pulled the blanket over them both. "Any better?" he asked.
Charley didn't answer; choosing instead to cuddle closer into the blanket and rest her drooping head on the Doctor's shouldersofly

Here's an interesting thing that happened to me today. In a big weekly meeting last week, one of the managers of my project tasked me with gathering daily data and organizing it into a document that he can present every week in the meeting. In the intervening time, I hadn't had the chance to work on it at all, so this morning, two hours before the meeting, I messaged him and told him that I hadn't been able to do what he asked, but I would be able to gather up a large fraction of the existing data, though it won't be very presentable. I completely expected a reprimand (I mean really, I'd had a week to do this!), but instead he replied, "Thank you letting me know ahead of time that the task wasn't done and setting expectations of what you'll be able to accomplish." Totally unexpected!

Your challenge today is to write a scene where one character responds to another in an unexpected way. This could go in a lot of different ways. Maybe the response is positive when the expectation was negative, like in my example above. Or it could be the opposite, such as a sudden attack out of the blue, either verbal or physical. Another idea is the person revealing that she knows something that the first person didn't think anyone knew.
