Wow, sorry! My brain has just gone off-planet. I've been checking the comm daily and actually thinking, "Hm, no new posts in a while", and only just now thought, "Hey, wait a minute, I am the one who's supposed to be making those posts!" I have no idea where my mind has been this past week.

Today's challenge: Write two separate paragraphs, both of them describing the same character, but one with a bias of liking the person and one with a bias of not liking the person. The description itself should make the attitude clear.

As an example, describing Clara:

"Can I come in?" The door opened and a bright-eyed face appeared in the crack. A sparkling grin later, she slipped in and clasped her hands together over her short scarlet skirt. She took a quick breath, but waited for my nod before speaking.

"Can I come in?" Before I could call a reply, the door opened and the unwelcome visitor looked in before barging through. A small woman, made up heavily and wearing a bright red dress cut too high above the knee, she held her breath as she stared at me, impatient to impart her news.

First, I really like this idea.   So here's my attempt for Rose.

1.  "What's  goin' on in there?"  called a voice, soon followed by the sound of knocking.  Opening the door just a crack,  I saw the face of a young woman.   Clad simply in denims and a Union Jack shirt and with shoulder-length blonde hair,  she couldn't have been much older than twenty.   Noting the look of concern on her face (and the mist of tears on her cheeks), I quickly gestured towards a chair for her to sit down.   Handing her a Kleenex as her tears continued to flow like a waterfall,  I gave her hand a small squeeze of reassurance before explaining the situation.  However,  it didn't seem to help any , only resulting in her expression going from concerned to more than a little envious.

2.  "What's goin' on in there?" chirped a voice, seemingly from nowhere.  And then there came the pounding on the door.   Excusing myself for one moment,  I got up and opened the doorway a little to be greeted by a young blonde woman.  She looked the complete opposite of professional- wearing jeans and a T-shirt and her hair a mess.  I caught her expression as she stepped into the room , having more than a little suspicion the deluge of tears she was shedding were Crocodile tears. If only to alleviate her crying and sour look,  I tossed her a Kleenex and tried to calmly explain everything .  But she was having absolutely none of this.

Let's think about repetition for this challenge, let's think about repetition.

We have routines in our daily lives,  or it feels like we're stuck sometimes in the same thing over and over again. Write about your characters being stuck in the same place or routine for awhile- how are they coping with it?  Do the characters even notice?
