 ( this is for an assignment.   And I'd really like feedback?  ) 

Simple Description-   Emily awoke early and stepped outside the little country house not long after sunrise. 


Better-  Emily awoke as the first few rays of sunlight streamed through the tiny window of the house.  Grabbing her coat, she gingerly took a step outside.  The dawn chorus of crows, robins, and more of their avian friends had already begun, sounding like the opening notes of a symphony . She inhaled the sweet fragrance of the fresh cut grass,  daffodils , honeysuckle, and , upon a second cursory sniff, the unmistakable smell of fresh bread coming from the house next door. Feeling the warmth of the sun hit her, Emily felt renewed and ready to begin the day.

Focused challenge: Write a couple of paragraphs about your characters (at least two) shopping and discussing a possible purchase. It's up to you if they ultimately agree or disagree on whether to make the purchase, but the conversation should include at least one reason to buy it (examples: liking the color, it's only a dollar) and one reason not to buy it (examples: I already have one, it's too small).
