 In class, we talked about sending a cover letter and a Query letter; the latter is for an editor or agent asking permission to submit a manuscript.  

I kind of wanted to practice that before doing one for the Assignment. 

(As of now, the story described is all in my head)

Dear (Editor)

I am writing to seek your consideration in publishing  my novella,  In a Pack. This is a 7500 word novella featuring the Doctor as played by Christopher Eccleston  and Rose Tyler as played by Billie Piper.  The story  takes place primarily on a planet inhabited by were-creatures who look like regular terriers.

After accidentally landing on the planet, the Doctor and Rose  get caught up in a conflict  among the planet's royal family. While the Doctor  has to contend with a bigger problem: he has gotten bitten and now is turning into one of the terriers. 
In a Pack is intended for a mainly general audience;  much like other BBC New Series Adventures such as Beautiful Chaos or The Stone Rose.  This book  has themes of conflict, mild war, and transformations. 

I have written one story published in a charity zine called The Gallifrey Guardian. Which can be found online.
