(Was thinking a bit about Camelot recently bc a series I watch did a story arc there. So trying to do a bit of that vein- this more likely than not won't be expanded, at least not right now)
The young man listens carefully to the Lady in the Lake. Her words strike a nerve with him. It shouldn't be his destiny to protect the kingdom- he is barely seventeen, practically a boy. No one can tell him to go and retrieve a golden chalice from a cave, even a cave guarded by dragons. But he ponders it for awhile. There's a risk he won't come back, never to see those who care about him again: doomed to be remembered only as the knight who ended up as prey for a dragon. But the chalice is the key, the key to ending the conflict and uniting all the kingdoms together. He could be renowned as a knight who brought peace.
No more time to think- he climbs onto his horse. It's time to be part of destiny.
