tenminutesadaySix months! I've been with it for four of them and have enjoyed the prompts and writing some things that I might not otherwise. Thanks for making this group and being open to others joining in on it!
"Anything for the Hillenbohn-Sollits. You've given the Family a lot of hope."
"Yeah, and scared half of you back into your holes." Kallon's lip curled in distaste.
"Well," Yurrein started, unfazed, "not all of us are as tough as you are, Kallon. You faced and survived our collective nightmare scenario."
Kallon grunted and turned away to stare out the window, folding his arms across his chest. "I don't feel tough," he grumbled, "and I barely survived."
"You're still standing, aren't you?" Yurrein asked. "You put Triden and a dozen others behind bars and because of that anyone who had the vaguest thoughts along the lines of Alekandler Triden isn't going to dare try."
"Ha," Kallon scoffed. "Most of the work was done by Danrick Mishor and Sray."
"They could just point a finger at Triden, you're the one that made it possible for the rest of them to be prosecuted. Don't sell yourself so short." He put a hand on Kallon's shoulder and followed the young man's gaze out the window to the retreating coastline of Alast. Kallon frowned at Yurrein shrugged the hand off his shoulder. Yurrein took the hint and pulled his hand back. "You want me to leave you alone, don't you?"
"Yeah," Kallon confirmed.
