Short snippet that may never go anywhere, but given their importance to the history of Alast it was just a matter of time before I wrote something involving Jorgin Kamelo'an and Tsalgohn Kteslay, the Envawnan Human man and Zegdaen Klamon woman who get credit for banishing the dragons from Alast. Not 100% sure what happened, but I suspect something went wrong and people died and Jorgin is feeling a bit guilty about what they've gotten themselves into and are trying to do.

She woke with a start. Her hands suddenly under her and half-propping herself up, staring into the dark. She sniffed the air, looking for something that didn't belong as her ears swiveled to catch sound and then she saw it, a light bobbing in the air, retreating from the camp. She slipped out of the bedroll and followed the glow. The lamp was shielded on one side, focusing the light in front of the walker. She recognized him even though his silhouette was only partially illuminated.

"What are you doing out here, Jorgin?" She whispered when she caught up with him.

He turned suddenly, the lamplight momentarily blinding her, but quickly turned it away, "O, Tsalgohn," he turned the lamp away, "sorry, couldn't sleep."

"So you're wandering around alone in the dark?" She asked, looking up at his face. He looked tired and full of restless thoughts. "You're still thinking about it, aren't you?" She probed.

He frowned back and looked away. They continued in silence until they came to a small crease in the landscape where a small creek mumbled through its steep-sided bed.

"Did you have a plan or are you really just wandering around in the dark?" Tsalgohn questioned as Jorgin raised the lamp and cast it's light along the length of the creek.

"Thought I saw something yesterday." He turned his attention upstream and followed as close to the bank as the brush and sprouting saplings allowed.

Also! I've crested 100,000 words in my book! Woo! I think I'm somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 done now, which is super exciting. I haven't been able to work the prompts into where I'm focused on the story right now (except jumping on the WIPs!), but that's okay, I'm sure you all understand!
