tenminutesaday( A bit of Time War Eight. Rewatched a bit of NotD and because Johne recently did a cracky fic set during this short as well)
He didn't want to fight. This war had raged on far too long...he'd already been through so much. But it was getting harder and harder to avoid everything: simply just go back to exploring the universe.
He thinks about all his friends; from Charley to Lucie. Grace to Bliss. And now there's Cass. He's told her the turht more or less. He's one of the nice ones. But what kind of standard is that anymore?
They're going down now. She'd wanted to explore the universe, just like he did. But it's too late now...for both of them. He has to make a choice: keep on running, or become a warrior.
He drinks the mixture Ohila gives him. His mind is made up. Desperate times, desperate measure and all that. The universe doesn't need him as a Doctor anymore.
