More of a metaphorical separation, but a separation just the same.
"We will call him Tsaevidhan Jinkörat."
"Tsaevidhan, what type of name is that, Shtaejlus? It isn't a good, Byajintoran name." The woman said disapprovingly.
He looked at her steadily, aqua eyes cool and a constant reminder he was more than just her son. "It was my father's."
The words were like a knife, sharp and fine, effortlessly severing the last ties between them. Whether she could grasp at the pieces and tie them back together depended on her own next words. She drew herself up with a deep breath. "Well," she started, trying to swallow her bitter pride and the sourness of her indignation. "Well," she procrastinated, "well, I guess it will do, then."
