(Post- JE/ EoT . I know that "Donna sort of remembers " might as well be a genre of itself. But...)
She's up early again, that's the first thing Shaun notes when he slowly crawls from under the blankets to find his wife already in the lving room lying on the sofa. He's been meaning to ask what all this is about . It's been happening more and more. Maybe she's thinking about her family or that accident that happened a few months ago- the one her Mum said they don't like to talk about.
As he heads off to the kitchen to get the morning coffee going for them both, he notices something new. This morning, Donna's not lying on the sofa. Upon closer inspection, he finds her looking out the big living room window. Not wanting to really disturb her, Shaun walks over as softly as he can.
"Looking for something?" He asks, placing a little good- morning kiss on her cheek.
"Oh, hi" Donna answers, momentarily distracted. "No... well, didn't want to wake you. Thought there was... " Donna pauses, her face nearly white. " Guess I've forgotten now."
Shaun places a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Love, have you thought about seeing a doctor? You've been doing this a lot lately?"
At the mention of a doctor, her expression changes to one of ... teasing. "Doctor who?" she asks, smiling for a quick second.
"Doctor Lang. Maybe you need to get a checkup." He answers. What was going on in her head right now?
"Oh, right, Yeah." Donna mutters, sitting back down on the sofa.
In that moment, Shaun decides it's probably best to leave her alone with her thoughts and heads for the kitchen.
