tenminutesaday ( So! Novelizing a bit of A Christmas Carol because lately I've been having a lot of feels about it and rewatched a little of it today.  Attempting to do third person omniscent POV .  Also working on active verbs.  This is from near the beginning, after the narration part.)
" I call it expecting something for nothing!" Kazran Sardick roared, heading into the room , noting the pleading looks of the family practically cowering.
"Sir," one of them, presumably the father or patriarch, began " Mr. Sardick, We're only asking for one day- just let her out for Christmas. She loves Christmas."
"Oh does she?" Kazran asked, mockingly as he tapped on the window of the cryogenic pod with his cane. " I see. Hello! " And again. "Waky-wakey! It's Christmas!" And of course , there's no response. "Do you know, I think she's a bit cool about the whole thing." At this, Kazran laughed, as if that was the best joke in the world. " That was funny."
"She's frozen." The youngest member of the family spoke up.
Kazran feigned inattentiveness at that. "She's what? Sorry?"
"She's in the ice." The boy continued matter of factly, " She can't hear you."
"Oh what a clever little boy" Kazran taunted. "You must be so irritated. " He moved to address his servant , might as well find out what the damage was. "How much?"
"Uh, it's 4500 Gideons, sir" the servant nervously replied.
"You took a loan of 4500 Gideons" Kazran declared, as another servant frantically handed him a phone shaped like a candle. "And little miss Christmas here is my security?"
"We're not asking for her back." The father pleaded again. "Just let her have one day, let her have Christmas with us." After all, she was still part of their family.
