Fill: Challenge #6 (Stargate Atlantis)

Not reviewed or edited. I've been thinking about John Sheppard and how he speaks lately and felt like writing something with him in it. This is early SGA, season 1 probably.

As a side note, I need to start limiting the scope of my scenes. These long scenes are taking too much time. :)

Challenge #7

WIP Weekend!!! For today’s challenge, write at least three paragraphs for one of your own projects. Do a bit more in a work-in-progress… Write something concrete for an idea that so far has only been rattling around in your brain… Take one of the fills you’ve done for this comm and write the next scene in the story…. You can even go back to something you’ve finished and rework/rewrite/reimagine it… Or, if you prefer, revise and edit a few paragraphs of a WIP to improve style, language, character, plot, etc.

Yes, you have to post the snippet that you do, so don’t work on something that you want to keep secret. :) Or, if you completed and posted your work, post the link!

 (So I been watching Once Upon a Time s2 and brain is in that mode)

"How much longer?" Michelle asked, her knuckles turning almost white from clinging to the cave wall.

A thunderous roar loudly rang out.

Jason looked deep into one of the tunnels  "I;d say we've got about ...twelve minutes until the portal closes and we can get home."

Kurt tapped his friend on the shoulder. "Except, we've got that thing guarding it."

Another roar.

"Aren't you supposed to be a knight?" Michelle asked,  before starting to pick through Kurt's backpack. "Where's your sword?" 

"Oh yeah, a wooden sword against something that breathes fire, that's a great plan." Kurt replied sarcastically. He pointed at the pink crown on Michelle's head. "Anyway, you're supposed to be a princess.  where's your wand?"

"It's a staff!" she exclaimed. "And I...left it at home." 

Jason sighed. "Guys, hate to interrupt, but we've down to seven minutes.  Let's just try to sneak past the dragon and get to the portal if any of us want to live to finish middle school."
