(Has it really been six months??? Whoooo!! Want to say, this comm has been great to keep me motivated. Even if my stuff isn't always perfect, this has helped a lot. Anyway...
10 and Donna)
Oh, Donna thought, this was just wizard. First all that business on Calibris and her being stuck dressed as a wench, now here they were trapped in a cell together on some crazy planet. Another banner day.
" Don't suppose you've worked out how to get us out yet?" Donna asked, her shoes getting soaked by the massive puddle of water on the floor.
"Well,..." the Doctor began, "Sorry, no. May have...been a bit hasty to those natives?"
"Oi! They started it!" Donna countered, "Threw my phone into the lake. What was I going to do?"
The Doctor seemed to be pacing a bit, lost in his own thoughts. "Need a way out...the lock is sonic-proof...if there was some way to..." He muttered.
Donna glanced down at the puddle of water on the floor. "Well what else have we got? This great puddle? Oh now we can boil it for tea."
Something got the Doctor's brain buzzing at that statement as he ran his hands through his hair. "Oh! Donna you are brilliant! Have I told you that lately? Brilliant Donna Noble!" He exclaimed, his face now in a massive grin.
"Care to clue me in on how?" Donna asked, though it was honestly wonderful being called brilliant.
"Boiling water! Water is steam! " Now he was practically leaping. " Vapor! Create enough vapor and it just might loosen the lock."
Donna smiled, sometimes he could be enthused over the most maddening things. And with heat from the sonic combined with the water on the floor, the travellers were free.
