Sorry! I'm going to rain-check the challenge itself! Just been a bit busy and kept forgetting to post. Let's make this challenge for the weekend, so Monday is the due date and when the next challenge will be posted.
Write a short scene with two characters who oppose each other for some reason, in which they show respect for each other (or, at least, one shows respect for the other). The conflict could be anything from two teenagers jealous of each other over something or vying for the starring role in the school play, to the hero and villain of a movie, to political opponents. They may be having a conversation, or one could be speaking to others about the other, or maybe it's a wordless gesture. The scene should give the reader at least some clue what the conflict is, but does not need to spell it out; the main point is the respect.
