Fill- challenge 134 (DW/BFA)

I said I was going to try do something today even if it's just 100 words (it's been...hard lately).

For dw100 challenge "Calm". Six, Evelyn. (And I like feedback/ concrit of course. Liz X is a nod to that one 11 episode)

"Well, where are we now?" Evelyn asked, "You said we'd be having tea with Queen Liz X."

The Doctor listened closely, then turned to his companion. "Evelyn, do you hear anything?"
The historian frowned. "Doctor, I'm not so old that.." She paused. "Actually, now you mention it, no."
The Doctor nodded. "Exactly. No Daleks, no Pirates, no Cybermen. Just complete and utter calmness. "

Evelyn raced back inside. "Just a moment" she called.
"Where are you off to?"
" You think I'm going to waste this rare moment?" Evelyn asked. "I'm getting my knitting. This jumper isn't going to get done by Christmas otherwise."

So we decorated our tree today (yay!) . And now I think I'm getting excited.

Write a scene with your characters getting prepared for something major- a holiday/ celebration, new school, whatever. Just the preparing. Are they nervous or excited? And what sort of prep goes into it?
