Tegan leaned back in the seat, trying to get at least a little bit more comfortable. "I still don't see why we have to do this" she complained.
" Well with the TARDIS currently recharging, I thought we'd try a bit of... a change" the Doctor explained, putting the key in the ignition.
"Could've at least gotten something bigger than this" Tegan noted. " We've been in dungeons with more space!"
Nyssa smiled. "I like it, it's sort of...quaint. This...Beetle, I think?" she asked.
"Bug, actually." The Doctor corrected as they started down the road. " A yellow Bug. And not bad, I borrowed it from an acquaintance in Maine." He adjusted the mirrors. " Reminds me a bit of an old car I used to have."
Tegan rolled her eyes. " I just hope you can navigate this better than the TARDIS. Where are we going? "
" The Grand Canyon" the Doctor answered. " Rather fascinating if my memory serves."
"What makes it grand?" Nyssa asked, with interest.
" I've seen pictures of it" Tegan said, "It's a great big hole in the ground made of rocks. Maybe not as grand as it sounds."
Suddenly, the Bug seemed to stop. The Doctor checked the gauge. " It seems we need to refuel."
