Sorry for being late again! We're back home now, but now my sister's in town (for the first time since I moved here over two decades ago) so I've been running around with her, showing her the sights. Yesterday, we went to two of the local wineries to sample wines, because she's very into it. Me, I just viewed it at learning some new things. Interestingly, I could definitely tell the difference between some wines and decide if I liked them or not.
Today's challenge: Write a couple of paragraphs of your characters experiencing something new that's of a higher social or economic level than they're used to. Concentrate less on the description of what they're experiencing and more on their reactions or thoughts. Are they full of wonder? Or maybe they find it wasteful and are disdainful? They could be jealous, or perhaps they are uncomfortable because they feel unworthy. Lots of possibilities based on who they are and their backstories, what they're experiencing, who's providing the experience, etc. Bonus points for writing something that's opposite to how you would feel in the same situation.
