romanajo123 So it's Unconventional Courtship time according to my feed ( you write I think 1k words based on novel summaries using your fave characters or there's a generator). I was playing with the UCG earlier and got... this. I am not sure if I"m going to sign up, but I can't help thinking this could work. So here's a bit. ( And feedback is definitely welcome)
568) The Scarlet Domino by Sylvia Thorpe the Eighth Doctor was strikingly handsome, full of brooding hatreds, and raised in a sheltered world. Melanie Bush was exceptionally beautiful, charming, and something of a vamp. Within an hour of meeting they were married. They were both surprised by what happened. They fell in love. And Eight found the freedom he had always been denied. And Mel discovered that her life was in danger.

He'd been trying to avoid it for so long now. The Doctor stroked his hair, which was starting to grow back from the short crop Lucie had insisted he try , in thought. Muttering a few words to the TARDIS, he set a course for wherever. Any time or place was better than this endless War.

Glitz was up to his usual dodgy dealings again. But this time had been far enough. Settling back in her room on the ship, Mel ran a brush through her bright red hair, trying to no avail to untangle the bouffant it had remained in for the past hour. Changing out of the cocktail dress into pajamas, she crawled into bed making a mental note to have a word with Glitz in the morning. As her eyes were slowly closing, a familiar metallic screeching made her jolt awake.
Mel watched as a very tired-looking young man emerged from the TARDIS. He wasn't exactly what she'd been expecting, but something in his eyes seemed familiar.
"Hello Mel" he said softly.
(A/N: I do want to expand/ work on this more. I had to look up what a "vamp" was and now have a...vague idea)
