Let's do a bit of non-visual description. Choose a location you know well (even in a general sense, like "a shopping mall" is fine, it doesn't have to be a specific shopping mall you know). The only caveat is that it's not completely silent or otherwise sense-wise neutral - in other words, it shouldn't be all three quiet, smell-less, and touchless. You should definitely choose a time of year and the weather, as that can affect what you hear, smell, and feel.

Now, place your character there but blindfolded, and have them figure out where they are. Write a paragraph about what they hear, smell, feel, or otherwise sense, with the aim of letting the reader figure out where they are. You should not say outright where they are, and you should avoid naming anything that they would probably need sight to identify. (They can get a hint of where they are from their own backstory; for example, a British person who traveled to this place from their home while blindfolded in a car would probably not think they're in Peru.)

This is probably a good exercise for first-person POV. ;)
