Go find a back-of-the-book blurb of a published novel that you haven't read yourself (if you can't find one, just go look at any book listing on Amazon), then spend ten minutes writing as if you wrote the book yourself.

Note: It doesn't have to be the beginning of the novel. It could be a scene in the middle, where anything is happening. This is meant to be just, take someone else's book blurb and see what you can make of it.

I've read this twice and I'm not entirely clear here. Do you mean take the little synopsis thing , like this one (found via Amazon)- " With The Princess Diaries author Meg Cabot’s sparkling wit, this Victorian romance follows a young woman looking for lessons in love—now with a stunning new cover.

Exactly. That's the book's blurb - the thing that tells you what the book is about (though in general, they don't tell you much, because they don't want to spoil the story). So now that you have a blurb, pretend this is your novel and spend ten minutes writing any part of it.
