Fill-Challenge 33 (DW)

tenminutesaday So as of now I have...3 WIPs. :) But I recall having fun with this so wanted to play with it more. :)
(This is the beginning. I really don't want to just rewrite the whole episode, just pieces of it. And I do need to make a plan but enjoy!)
The TARDIS landed with its familiar sound on a patch of near-impossibly green grass. As the Doctor and Nyssa stepped out, Nyssa couldn't help but notice the breezy air and the sweet smell.
"Where are we, do you think?" she asked, noticing the glistening city not far from the TARDIS.
"According to the TARDIS, we've arrived in the year five billion twenty three" he answered, "On the planet of New Earth."
Nyssa looked a bit confused. "I thought you said the Earth was destroyed by this point." she began. "Something about solar flares and an ark?"
The Doctor put his hands in his pockets. "Ah. yes. Different galaxy, I expect. In this one, humans have apparently colonized an entire new planet. " He indicated a flying vehicle above them and several tall buildings. "This is obviously some kind of major city. "
"The city of, New New York" Nyssa read. "Quite an odd name."
The Doctor nodded. "Well, that would only make sense. Remind me to one day show you the original New York. So" he took his companion's hand. "Where shall we go first?"
(Notes- I'm having to do a bit of workaround/ Hand Waving since at this point (at least for the Doctor) the events of The End of the World haven't happened yet. This is fun)
