This one went long, but with only dialogue and nothing else, it was pretty fast to write. Cool exercise. It was like writing an audio - you have to make sure everything is expressed by the characters while staying realistic.
This is my AU after The Actor and needs a little backstory to understand. David is my part-human, part-Time Lord OC. Jenny is the one from "The Doctor's Daughter". The Doctor is the Doctor. David had informed the Doctor that Jenny was still alive, so he went and got her, and now David and Jenny are training under the Doctor. Jenny, being a full Gallifreyan, is a touch telepath, while David is a full telepath - Gallifreyan telepathy but no touch because humans, when they are telepathic (which is rare), don't require touch. David doesn't like being a telepath (for backstory reasons).

“It’s your move, Jenny.”
“I know, I know! Just… Just… There. Your turn.”
“Want to tell me what’s wrong? You’re being awful short with me today, over a game you suggested we play.”
“I’m sorry, Big Brother. I don’t know. I guess I’m a bit peckish, is all.”
“When’d you last eat?”
“Not sure.”
“Let’s go get lunch, then. We can always come back to this later.”
“No! I want to finish the game. We haven’t taken any time off from our studies in a long time.”
“You sure?”
“I am. Though some cucumber sandwiches really do sound good.”
“Okay, how about that little cafe in Chichester? Loser pays.”
“We can just have Dad make some for us.”
“Doesn’t make sense. We’d have to break the game off to go looking for him.”
“You can just ask him right now.”
“How? Oh. Jenny, you know I don’t like doing that.”
“Please? Just this once?”
“All right. Fine.”
Doctor?
You’re using your telepathy! Brilliant!
Don’t get your hopes up. It’s only “just this once”. Jenny asks if you could bring us some tea and cucumber sandwiches. We’re in her room.
Of course.
Thanks.
Wait. What kind of tea?
Anything’s fine.
Jenny gets picky. She likes the tea to match her mood.
All right. Hold on.
“‘Dad’ wants to know what kind of tea you want.”
“Do we still have that black currant blend?”
“I don’t know.”
“Can you ask him?”
"Sure."
She asks, do we still have that black currant tea?
I think so.
Okay.
“He thinks so.”
“I’d like that, then, or darjeeling if we don’t.”
“Right.”
She wants the black currant, or darjeeling if we don’t have it.
Did you know your telepathic voice is Scottish?
What?
Fascinating, isn’t it? We’re not even thinking words at each other, just thoughts, but your thoughts feel Scottish.
Doctor. The sandwiches.
Yup. Just got to the kitchen. Want some biscuits, too?
Just sandwiches and tea.
No, ask her. She usually wants biscuits with her tea.
Sigh. All right.
You actually thought, “Sigh”! Did you know that? You thought “Sigh” and then you agreed. The actual word came over loud and clear.
I. Am. Asking. Her. About. Biscuits.
“Your dad wants to know if you’d like biscuits, too.”
“Oh, yes, please!”
“What kind? It’ll save me a back-and-forth.”
“Let me think. It’s your turn by the way.”
“I’ll get back to the game once I’m done telling him what you want.”
“But I don’t know what I want.”
“Jenny.”
“Why don’t you just relay my thoughts to him?”
“What?”
“You can do that. Just send my thoughts over to him, and his to me. Then you can just take your turn and you don’t have to keep going back and forth.”
“Oh, all right.”
Dad? We have custard creams, right?
Jenny? How are you talking to me?
Relayed through me.
Oh, now that is brilliant! Never thought you could do something like this.
It was my idea! Custard creams?
I don’t think so. I finished off the packet yesterday.
I thought we got two.
Er, yes, we did.
What about malted milks?
I don’t see any.
Hobnobs?
Those neither. We’ve got digestives, bourbons, rich tea. Oh, here’s a box of jammie dodgers. Wait, I think I see some malted milks way in the back.
Way in the back? How long have they been in there?
Doesn’t matter. The pantry’s kept in temporal stasis so things don’t go bad. Better than refrigeration, though you have to make sure the field’s off before you stick your hand in. There’s a catch on the door that disables the field, but if you’re fast, you can feel it. Tingling sensation, sort of like -
SHUT UP!
What’s wrong, Big Brother? Are we distracting -
SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP BOTH OF YOU!
Temper, David.
That’s it. I am not Time Lord Skype! You cannot use me to natter away at each other. I refuse to do it one second more!
What is “Skype”?
One of his human things, I reckon.
Sandwiches! Tea! Digestives! Got it? Good! That’s it! Done! Don’t say goodbye! Dial tone!
“You didn’t even take your turn, Big Brother.”
“Jenny, I… Look, okay, there. I’ve moved. Your turn. Go on.”
“You know, we do appreciate you.”
“Hmph.”
