(Using kind of the example of doll collection, only it's stuffed animals)
"Is that the last box?" Bex asked her roommate, making space on the corner of the couch.
"Yeah, I can't believe my parents actually sent these." Michelle said fondly, discarding the bubblewrap and pulling out three rather soft items.
"Your parents sent you stuffed animals?" Bex asked, a bit wide-eyed. She was just assuming it was going to be more old furniture.
"Oh no, these aren't just stuffed animals" Michelle explained, placing the three delicately on the coffee table.
"This" she pointed to a large green frog with a big, sewn-on smile, "Is Sarah. I must've slept with her every night for years, even took her on vacation a few times. " She gave the frog a gentle squeeze before pulling out the next item, a smaller panda bear.
"And this is Hi-Fi" Michelle held up the bear, " My nana brought him back from a trip to San Diego when I was about ten. "
"Huh, he's kind of cute" Bex noted.
"And this," Michelle pulled out the final plush friend: a pillow in the shape of a multicolor cat. "Is Heather! I got her on a vacation to the mountains, I remember using her to hold my books. She's super soft."
Bex only had one reaction. "I...guess we're going to have to find space for them now. "
