Fill- Challenge 55 (DW)

 (Eighth Doctor and Grace (from the TV movie) 

They say hindsight is 2020    It's been close to a year since that fateful New Years Eve: her work as a cardiologist continues. But some days,  Grace remembers.   She can hear a snippet of Madam Butterfly, or see a flash of dark blue and her mind goes back. She could've gone with him; the mysterious, confused man with the curly hair.  He invited her; and they could be out there now in his incredible blue box. 
Some nights, she lays in bed considering the what-ifs.  Wondering where he is now, if he even remembers her. 
Grace could have said yes, but she chose to stay.  And she feels the pain of that choice.

This was excellent! It's a great introspection. You included a little bit about what she's doing now and what reminds her of the Doctor, and you have a bit of present action, lying in bed and thinking. This is a lot more interesting than the usual introspection, where it's just what she thinks about things.

It's 113 words. You could tighten this up to a true drabble. :)

Introspective is something I’m realizing is kind of fascinating to read & write.
