tenminutesaday (Going through my AO3...and just now noticed I didn't do anything in 2021. So I thought about when I did this . And thought about if I was going to add to it)
The storm seemed to be endless, but at some point before dawn, Donna managed to get some sleep. No thanks to a particular Time Lord who still refused to give up the blankets- she was freezing!
As the first few rays of sunlight began to peek through the window, Donna was startled awake by the Doctor; who was currently sitting at the small table pouring a cup of tea for the both of them.
"Donna!" he called, exuberantly. "Sleep well? Mine was wonderful, best sleep I've had since the time I visited Sleeping Beauty. Nasty business with that sleeping curse. Did I ever tell you about the-"
Donna stopped him mid- ramble. "Bit too early, sunshine. How long you been up?"
"Oh about...half an hour? Forty-five minutes?" the Doctor replied, adding a bit of sugar to his cup. If he had any trace of pillow-head hair, it was impossible to tell given his typical spikes. "Tea? And oh, look there's toast too!"
"Yeah, thanks" Donna said, taking the cup and sitting across from him. "So what's your plan for today? Sand creatures? Sea monsters? I'm not expecting to just get to sun myself."
