 c. 100 words (if my Counter is accurate.  Wilf was a great character,  here's a small thing.  Also for the "Yarn" prompt at dw100 ) 

If one looks down from above Chiswick, one will see a glint of red yarn. 

 

He's going down to the shops.  Or at least that's what it says in the message to Donna and Sylvia. But each night, it's the same. He takes his telescope, an old folding chair, and thermos up to the allotment and watches. He made a promise all those years ago.

 

The Doctor is older now, world- weary. Clara is gone, he's alone again. And one night the TARDIS is in flight over Chiswick. The Doctor watches the scanner, and notices a familiar red yarn cap...
