Donna Noble’s no fool; she knows how lucky she is. Most people never even get a first chance to travel with the Doctor. When she turned him down all those months ago that should have been it.
At the time she’d been too raw from everything that had happened to her, but even that short time with the infuriating spaceman had opened her eyes to things she couldn’t possibly have imagined before.
Now he’s back, they’re investigating the same thing, but this time she’s ready. When he leaves she’s going with him, and she’s not taking ‘no’ for an answer.
And here's me trying to write first person: ( trying to do 100, it ended up about 166 . But this was kind of fun !! )

Has it really been that long? Months, now? Seems like just yesterday... all that business with the Spider queen and Lance and... him. The weird bloke in the suit. Mum's not letting me forget it either- apparently all the money she and Dad spent just to have it all ruined.
Well, it's not that easy, Mum! And I <i> am </i> looking for a job! Been checking out this Adipose thing lately. Seems kinda dodgy. But it's a job. One thing I didn't expect to see was him again. Yeah... I've been travelling, doing it a lot more lately. Went all over looking for him. But the last thing on my mind was seeing his skinny alien self show up here! So yeah, we're investigating this place together.
I better go pack! Where to start- hot, cold, no weather? What am I saying, he goes everywhere! Take all three. Never know! Well, we're off to... wherever now. Hope Mum doesn't need the car back for a bit.
Challenge #180

Today's challenge: Write a scene where one character is nearing a goal and another character is observing, maybe cheering them on, offering advice, or even trying to get them to give up. Or maybe the second character doesn't care at all.
Viewpoint should be nearly neutral, so no getting into the thoughts of either character. Express the first character's current emotions (are they excited to attain the goal, or despairing of ever reaching the end?) and the second character's attitude toward them through their actions, expressions, and words, not through descriptions of their thoughts.
