Challenge #553
Mar. 2nd, 2026 12:18 pmSorry. The days have just been flying by for me. No excuses to make. But here's today's challenge.
Create a character in your mind (or use one you've already created) that has at least this much backstory and personality figured out:
* In general, are they optimistic/glass-half-full or pessimistic/glass-half-empty?
* In general, do they have enough money/income to do whatever they might want (within reason) or are they struggling to make ends meet?
* They have a skill learned while they were young or in school that they're passable at but not great at and that they haven't done in at least ten years, such as drawing, playing a musical instrument, playing a sport, dancing, or doing a hobby.
Now, write a couple of paragraphs of them responding to someone inviting them to do that skill again (like joining a community band, dancing at a party, or check out a knitting club). Be sure that they respond in a way that makes sense for their outlook and situation.
