Fill- Challenge 552 (DW)
Mar. 2nd, 2026 07:31 pm I'm trying to get back into this, so have some random Donna and baby! Ten.
Setting a timer for 10 minutes...
Donna held the wiggling baby , bouncing him up and down. She felt like she'd been doing this for ia century and the Doctor wouldn't calm down for nap time.
" Still got a gob," she muttered over his cries. " Guess some things don't change, Spaceman. Or Space-baby?"
Rubbing his back, she wondered if this was just going to be her life now. She remembered some of the stories her mates who were mums told her, and a few her mum had recounted from Donna's own toddler hood. How did they survive?
" You are pretty cute like this" she admitted, tousling the Doctor's wisps of soft hair before being greeted with a hiccup and a spit-up of milk and whatever else on her shoulder.
Donna glowered. " Lovely. Right, let's just try and get you to sleep, yeah?"
The baby Doctor hiccuped again.
"Taking that as a yes."
With a cloth on her shoulder, Donna carefully placed the Doctor in a crib the TARDIS had provided. It was nice; a sort of old-fashioned one with a miniature solar system. She made a mental note to ask him eventually why he even had that.
" Stories" Donna said, running a finger across a small shelf of picture books. She didn't recognize most of them, and several had some word circular writing on the spines. Until something caught her eye.
" Well, least you've got the classics." She opened and started to read a dog-eared copy of Peter Rabbit.
(A/N: This was kind of fun! :P)
